Happy Valentines Day!

Governor Rick Scott had proclaimed this week, February 12 - 18th as Florida Foster Family Appreciation Week. From his proclamation, the Governor recognizes that foster families provide a unique opportunity to impact children’s lives by providing care for children until they can be reunified with their families or find a forever family. He urges the child welfare system and communities to “join together to raise awareness of the need for quality foster families in Florida.”

At the Center for Child Welfare, we work hard to provide training and resources to support foster, adoptive, and kinship families through the Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI) and Just in Time Training. Be sure to share these resources with caregivers so they can access the training support so they can be quality parents to children in out of home care.
